Effective date: May 2026
Medical disclaimer — read this first
PanelShift is not a medical device. The AI-generated analyses, trend summaries, and conversational responses produced by PanelShift are for informational purposes only. They are not medical advice, are not a diagnosis, and are not a substitute for consultation with a licensed physician or other qualified healthcare provider.
Do not make clinical decisions — including changes to medications, supplements, or dosing — based solely on PanelShift output. Always discuss lab results with your doctor.
PanelShift does not make dosing recommendations. When the AI references a marker outside the lab reference range, that is an informational observation, not a medical instruction.
Who can use PanelShift
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you have the legal authority to enter into these terms.
PanelShift is intended for personal use. You may not use PanelShift to process lab reports belonging to other individuals without their explicit consent.
What PanelShift does
PanelShift extracts structured biomarker data from digital lab PDFs, stores your marker history, and uses AI to produce plain-English informational analyses in the context of your history and optional self-entered context. Paid tiers also include conversational chat that answers follow-up questions using your stored, structured lab data — it does not read raw PDFs or unredacted lab text. PanelShift supports Quest Diagnostics and LabCorp reports in its current version. Extraction quality may vary across report formats.
PanelShift is not a comprehensive lab interpretation service. Markers it cannot extract or recognize are stored with a note that they were not resolved. The absence of a flag on an extracted marker does not constitute a clinical clearance.
Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@panelshift.app if you believe your account has been compromised.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abuse of the service, or attempt to access other users' data.
Subscriptions and billing
Plans
PanelShift offers three tiers:
- Free — up to 3 lifetime uploads, current-panel AI analysis
- Pro ($15/month) — unlimited uploads, full trend history, AI analysis with historical context, conversational chat
- Advanced ($29/month) — everything in Pro, plus optional context logging and context-aware informational analysis
Users who signed up during the private beta keep founding-member eligibility on their account. Stripe applies the founding coupon at checkout when an eligible account starts a new Pro or Advanced subscription. The discount is tied to the account, not to one continuously active subscription. See the Refund Policy for details on how the founding-member rate is preserved.
Billing
Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. Stripe Checkout and the Stripe billing portal may ask for cardholder name or name on card, billing address, payment method details, and other information Stripe needs to process payments, invoices, refunds, disputes, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. PanelShift receives subscription and customer identifiers and billing state from Stripe, but does not receive full card numbers or store cardholder names, billing addresses, or payment method details in the PanelShift app database. All pricing is in USD. PanelShift is currently available to customers in the United States only.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal in Settings. On cancellation, your paid access continues until the end of the current billing period. After the period ends, your account reverts to the Free tier. Your stored lab data and history are not deleted on downgrade — only access to paid features is restricted.
Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. In short: a full refund is available within 7 days of your first subscription charge if no paid-tier features have been used; billing errors are always refunded; otherwise, paid periods are non-refundable and you keep access through the end of the period when you cancel.
Price changes
If we change subscription pricing, we will notify active subscribers at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued subscription after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload lab reports that do not belong to you or for which you lack consent
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from other users' accounts
- Use the service in a way that intentionally degrades it for other users
- Use the service to process data at scale in violation of the per-user rate limits
- Circumvent billing, tier restrictions, upload limits, or chat usage limits through technical means
- Use the conversational chat to seek medical advice for someone other than yourself, to request diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, dosing instructions, emergency care, or instructions for using illegal or unapproved substances
- Use PanelShift to buy, sell, source, distribute, or facilitate access to controlled substances, prescription drugs, research chemicals, illegal products, or other regulated goods
- Use optional context logs to promote, endorse, advertise, or arrange access to any medication, supplement, controlled substance, research chemical, or regulated product
- Jailbreak, prompt-inject, or otherwise misuse the AI features
No medical, pharmacy, or marketplace services
PanelShift does not provide medical care, telehealth, pharmacy services, prescribing, medication fulfillment, drug testing, drug-test circumvention, supplement sales, pharmaceutical sales, or marketplace services. Optional context logs are user-entered tracking records only. They do not imply endorsement, legality, safety, medical necessity, or recommendation of anything a user chooses to enter.
Your data
You retain ownership of the lab data you upload. By uploading, you grant PanelShift a limited license to process and store the extracted structured data for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not claim any ownership over your biomarker data.
If you explicitly opt in to de-identified data contribution, you grant PanelShift a separate permission to create and use a de-identified snapshot of resolved marker values and resolved protocol events to improve the product and aggregate statistics. This contribution excludes email, billing data, raw PDFs, raw text, raw marker names, protocol names, raw compound names, doses, frequencies, routes, notes, analyses, and chat. You can turn it off while your account exists.
PanelShift uses third-party analytics and diagnostics tools to operate and improve the service. These are not used for advertising or ad targeting. For details on what is stored, who processes it, and how to delete it, see the Privacy Policy. Privacy-specific requests can be sent to privacy@panelshift.app.
Availability and service changes
We make reasonable efforts to keep PanelShift available and functioning, but we do not guarantee uptime. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, deployments, or infrastructure issues.
We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes to active users in advance.
Disclaimer of warranties
PanelShift is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of inaccuracies. Extraction results depend on PDF quality and format; we do not guarantee complete or accurate extraction of every marker on every report.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PanelShift and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service. This includes any clinical decisions made in reliance on PanelShift output.
Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
Account deletion
You may delete your account at any time from Settings or by contacting support. Account deletion permanently removes all stored draws, markers, optional context entries, analyses, chat history, upload logs, and any linked de-identified contribution by default. If you previously opted in to data contribution, the deletion dialog gives you a separate unchecked checkbox to keep that de-identified contribution after account deletion. This action is irreversible.
If you have an active Stripe subscription, account deletion attempts to cancel that subscription before deleting your PanelShift and Clerk account. If Stripe cancellation fails, deletion may be blocked until the cancellation can be retried or resolved manually.
Stripe may retain payment and billing records, including cardholder/billing details, under its own legal obligations after your PanelShift account is deleted. Deletion requests and billing questions can be sent to support@panelshift.app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the effective date above and, for material changes, notify active paid subscribers by email. Continued use of PanelShift after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
